Dear Dr. Washington,

As another follow-up to our lunch at the City Club in August, I would like to once again propose that we put our heads together and come up with ways to further the partnership which I proposed between Smith Barney and the African American Community in Los Angeles. A quick review of the points we discussed at the luncheon included:

There was a general consensus that any speakers we supply be African American. We have now assembled these professionals who are ready to implement our program.

I would like you to give these ideas some thought as to how we can work together in implementing these initiatives. If you can supply the people (and possibly the venue) we are ready to provide the programs. Please call me with feedback at your earliest convenience.

Please contact the offices of the Los Angeles NAACP if you wish to take advantage of this exciting opportunity.
